Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Marketing and Brand Strategy initiatives for the Companion Animals business unit, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing commercial results at the country/region level. This position will integrate the brand’s strategic vision with in-store tactics, managing the execution and impact of marketing initiatives across different channels. Additionally, the role will lead internal coordination among multifunctional teams and foster strategic relationships with commercial partners. This position requires a proactive attitude and strong analytical skills to transform market insights into effective actions that position Zoetis’ brands as leaders in the companion animal segment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Develop, implement, and optimize brand and trade marketing strategies for the unit’s franchises, ensuring alignment with commercial and communication objectives.
  • Define and lead the execution of promotional plans, product launches, and point-of-sale materials, ensuring excellence in implementation and measurement of results.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and channel performance, turning insights into effective marketing tactics.
  • Manage key internal and external relationships, enhancing product positioning and sell-through.
  • Collaborate closely with global and local internal teams in sales, technical, communications, regulatory, branding, digital, customer service, quality, and supply chain to ensure proper alignment and smooth execution of initiatives.
  • Manage the assigned budget, monitoring return on investment and proposing improvements based on quantitative and qualitative outcomes.
  • Ensure proper training of sales teams and collaborators on new initiatives and products.
  • Develop and manage short-, medium-, and long-term strategies.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Key Interactions:

  • Internal: Marketing, Sales, Technical, Communications, Regulatory, Branding, Digital, Customer Service, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • External: Veterinarians (KOLs), distributors, and agencies (ATL & BTL).

Supervision

1 peer & 2 trainees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Specialization in Marketing, Brand Management, or related areas.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in marketing roles within FMCG or OTC industries (preferably with dual experience in trade marketing and brand strategy).

Language: Advanced English required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency with market analysis tools, such as Nielsen, Kantar, or other data sources.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with CRM/SAP systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of channel management and point-of-sale execution.
  • Ability to generate reports, presentations, and campaign ROI analyses.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build strong connections.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel is needed to support clinical operations and customer interactions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (events, training, product launches).
  • Ability to work in an office environment and conduct visits to points of sale, customers, and events.
  • Willingness to travel locally or nationally as business needs require.
