Position Overview
In this role, you’ll handle fabric, sew draperies and valances, and ensure all products meet our high-quality standards.
What you'll do
- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew draperies, valances, and other window treatments.
- Work with different fabrics and materials according to production requirements.
- Review work tickets and verify measurements before sewing.
- Follow patterns, measurements, and written work instructions.
- Sew accurately while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Iron and press finished products to achieve a clean, professional appearance.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Safely operate sewing machines, hand tools, and production equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
- Communicate any quality or safety concerns to your supervisor.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the production team.
Who you are
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience using industrial sewing machines and general sewing skills.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Basic knowledge of fabrics and production equipment.
- Attention to detail with accuracy in names, numbers, and spelling.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Capable of standing for long periods and lifting regularly.
- Able to pass a color-blind test.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance with workplace rules.
- Comfortable performing repetitive hand and wrist motions.
