Description
As a QA Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in software testing, defect tracking, and automated testing fundamentals. Supported by senior QA mentors, you'll learn how to write test cases, report bugs, and build beginner-friendly automation scripts using tools like Playwright.
What You'll Learn & Do
- Manual Testing: Learn how to test new features, conduct exploratory testing, and identify bugs before software goes live.
- Intro to Automation: Practice writing basic automated test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright with mentor guidance.
- Defect & Test Management: Draft step-by-step bug reports in JIRA and learn to organize test cases using Zephyr.
- Design & Spec Review: Work with mentors to review simple project requirements and build test scenarios around them.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in daily Agile standups and sprint planning to experience how software teams build products together.
What We're Looking For
- Coding Basics: Foundational knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages from coursework or personal projects.
- Detail-Oriented: A curious mindset with an eye for spotting unexpected glitches or edge cases.
- Eagerness to Learn: Enthusiasm for picking up new testing frameworks and tools with mentor support.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to pivot smoothly when project assignments, feature priorities, or team needs shift across projects.
- Clear Communication: Ability to write clear notes when reporting bugs and collaborate respectfully across diverse, international team members.
- Education Background: Actively pursuing or recently completed coursework/thesis in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Internship Overview
- Duration: 600 hours (approx. 3–4 months)
- Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days work-from-home)
