Our Operational and Process Improvement practice is looking for a Management Consultant with 2-7 years of experience to join our growing team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
At Baringa, Operational and Process Improvement (OPI) we help leading organisations solve complex operational challenges, unlock value through technology and AI, and deliver lasting transformation.
What you will be doing
You'll work alongside a collaborative team that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Based in Sofia, you'll work on global engagements, predominantly with UK clients, tackling problems that often reach board level.
- Run enterprise-wide diagnostics to establish how a client's operations really perform and where the biggest opportunities lie.
- Carry out data-driven analysis of how work actually flows, where rework and duplicate effort occurs.
- Quantify the opportunity and build the case for change: benefits profiles, cost cases and the board papers that unlock implementation funding.
- Design better ways of working: process redesign, automation, AI-enabled operations and operating model change.
- Deliver the change, including the change management and adoption needed to sustain it.
- Work with client teams from analyst to executive, and support the proposals that win the next engagement.
Your skills and experience
We're looking for consultants who solve complex business problems and deliver measurable outcomes in demanding client environments. Whether you're early in your consulting journey or already delivering complex transformation programmes, we're looking for people with the potential to make a real impact. You combine structured thinking, strong communication skills and analytical rigour with a genuine curiosity for how organisations operate. You can turn ambiguity and data into insight, insight into decisions, and decisions into action.
What you'll bring?
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking. You can break down complex challenges, identify root causes and develop practical recommendations.
- An analytical mindset. You can work with imperfect data, make sensible assumptions and ask the right questions to reach a defensible answer.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. You can explain complex concepts to both non-technical and executive audiences.
- Ownership and accountability. You take initiative, identify issues early and follow through to delivery.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, and willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
We'll assess your experience against our grade expectations and determine together the level that best matches your skills and capabilities.

- Operational Excellence, Operational Performance Improvement
- Data-driven operational transformation
- Cost transformation and value creation
- Process improvement and optimisation, Lean and/or Six Sigm

- Familiarity with BPMN, APQC or similar process standards
- Experience supporting proposals and bids, or the ambition to develop these skills

What a career at Baringa will give you
Putting People First.
Baringa is a People First company and wellbeing is at the forefront of our culture. We recognise the importance of work-life balance and flexible working and provide our staff amazing benefits. Some of these benefits include:
- Generous Annual Leave Policy: We recognise everyone needs a well-deserved break. We provide our employees with 5 weeks of annual leave, fully available at the start of each year. In addition to this, we have introduced our 5-Year Recharge benefit which allows all employees an additional 2 weeks of paid leave after 5 years continuous service.
- Flexible Working: We know that the ‘ideal’ work-life balance will vary from person to person and change at different stages of our working lives. To accommodate this, we have implemented a hybrid working policy and introduced more flexibility around taking unpaid leave.
- Corporate Responsibility Days: Our world is important to us, so all our employees get 3 every year to help social and environmental causes and increase our impact on the communities that mean the most to us.
- Wellbeing Fund: We want to encourage all employees to take charge and prioritise their own wellbeing. We’ve introduced our annual People Fund to support this by offering every individual a fund to support and manage their wellbeing through an activity of their choice.
- Profit Share Scheme: All employees participate in the Baringa Group Profit Share Scheme so everyone has a stake in the company’s success.
Diversity and Inclusion
We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We believe that creating an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging is central to our culture and that diversity is paramount to driving creativity, innovation, and value for our clients and for our people.
