Overview
An exciting opportunity to join and help shape the newly established Proteomics Critical Program Team, which is dedicated to strengthening our position in the rapidly expanding proteomics market. This multi‑year strategic program encompasses the full proteomics workflow, including Sample Preparation, Consumables, Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and Informatics. The team is also empowered to collaborate directly with customers and key opinion leaders to inform development priorities and ensure long‑term success in this market.
Proteomics represents one of the most transformative opportunities in life sciences today, driving breakthroughs in biomarker discovery, precision medicine, and drug development. The global proteomics market is projected to grow from $25B in 2024 to over $50B by 2029, representing a CAGR of 12%. This rapid expansion is fueled by increasing demand for personalized medicine, advanced diagnostics, and innovative therapeutic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for advancing the technical development and engineering solutions for specific technologies, products & solutions to meet market needs, anticipating future trends and opportunities.
Work with the MS Technical Lead and wider team to ensure development is productive and efficient by setting and meeting goals and exceeding operational measures.
Work within a cross-functional development and engineering team to execute the development, launch and life cycle management activities of products and solutions
Maintain technology and engineering standards, ensure that these are adhered to by the team and provide transparent communication across different portfolios and business segments
- Assist with reviewing and enhancing the skill sets and the training requirements of the development and engineering team to keep up to date with current and future business requirements.
Implement product changes to enable efficient and effective life cycle management changes based upon internal and external customer feedback
Assist in coordination of technical and engineering project teams
Qualifications
Education:
MSc or PhD in a scientific discipline or relevant industrial experience.
Experience:
- Ability to help define and execute a product Development and delivery strategy with an understanding of end-user needs
- Strong MS technical knowledge and experience of in HRMS and Ion-Mobility
- Experience of development of new MS systems through previous projects.
- Understanding of MS applications and how these are addressed with current and new technologies.
- Scientific knowledge

- Demonstrated ability to align and motivate a team to work through a sustained period of transition, reorganization, etc.
Travel (If Applicable):
Some international travel anticipated although not regular or scheduled.
