Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources Operations, Canada, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for providing advisory services to a dedicated client group of managers and employees. This group includes professional and technical employees from various business units.
The HRBP will act as a strategic business partner by integrating the corporate HR strategy and providing HR guidance to internal client groups while delivering added value to the organization. The HRBP is responsible for advising, supporting, coaching, and guiding managers in a context of continuous improvement and change management.
Your Role
Support the execution of the business strategy by partnering with leaders to identify and prioritize organizational issues, strengthen organizational capabilities, and implement structures and processes that support the achievement of strategic objectives through an equitable approach.
Serve as a strategic point of contact for clients regarding key HR processes, identify business needs that impact HR strategies and policies, and provide direct support in the development and implementation of solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Coach and guide managers in key areas such as:
- Talent reviews
- Performance management
- Recruitment
- Application of HR policies
- Compensation
- Employee development
- Employment equity
- Mobility
- Change management
Provide guidance and support to managers regarding employment legislation as well as the application of disciplinary and administrative measures.
Partner with the recruitment team and managers to ensure alignment on talent acquisition strategies and collaborate closely with other shared services groups, including HR Analysts, Organizational Development, and Mobility.
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement long-term solutions.
Lead initiatives aimed at increasing employee engagement, strengthening organizational culture, and retaining top talent.
About You
3 to 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management.
Member of the Chartered Human Resources Professionals Order (asset).
Experience in a unionized environment and collective agreement negotiations (asset).
Strong analytical and consulting skills.
Ability to build partnerships and establish trusted relationships with clients.
Demonstrated problem-solving and influencing skills.
Strong judgment, business acumen, discernment, and listening skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full professional proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written). *
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
*Member of the Canadian or Global Leadership Team: This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.
