Description

The Corporate Actions team is responsible for collecting and maintaining high-quality, time-critical data across various financial markets and asset classes. The French Language Specialist will primarily handle Corporate Actions data for French-speaking markets.

The analyst will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting French-language financial information from defined public sources and contributors, and accurately entering the relevant information into the database using proprietary collection methodologies. This includes capturing improved information from French-language corporate announcements, stock exchange notices, regulatory filings, and other relevant sources. The information is time-critical and must be processed within the defined timelines and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain Corporate Actions data accurately and within the defined timelines using financial, technical, and French-language knowledge.
  • Review, interpret, and extract relevant information from French-language financial documents, corporate announcements, stock exchange notices, and regulatory sources.
  • Review existing sources to ensure that all relevant events are covered as per the source audit file.
  • Promote continuous improvement through research and analysis of queries and data quality issues, and find opportunities to improve work practices.
  • Highlight issues or errors in real time, particularly when an error or warning message is received while crafting an event.
  • Test new database or application releases, where appropriate, and provide guide user feedback.
  • Build knowledge of regulations and market practices in French-speaking markets and market events to anticipate changes.
  • Complete daily updates of reports, timesheets, and production reports.
  • Research and respond promptly to client issues while adhering to quality standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Communicate optimally with all relevant interested parties.
  • Act as a buddy and provide process support to junior team members.
  • Resolve client queries in accordance with the defined service flow and methodology.

Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Commerce, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional proficiency in French and English
  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions and capital markets
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
