We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Integrated Chemicals Sales Representative to lead the expansion of our Chemicals business in Poland. This is a market-building role with significant responsibility for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities across the Polish chemical industry.
The successful candidate will act as Maersk's ambassador in the market, developing relationships with key chemical manufacturers, distributors, and industry stakeholders while positioning Maersk as a strategic end-to-end logistics partner. The role focusses primarily on hunting in combination with consultative selling, market intelligence gathering, and long-term business development.
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape Maersk's growth strategy in one of Central Europe's most dynamic industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Growth
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Polish Chemicals market.
- Identify, prioritize, and penetrate high-potential chemical manufacturers, distributors, traders, and specialty chemical companies.
- Build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across all relevant chemical segments.
Customer Acquisition
- Proactively identify and engage new customers through targeted prospecting activities.
- Secure meetings with key decision-makers across procurement, logistics, supply chain, and executive leadership functions.
- Convert opportunities into profitable business through solution-based selling.
Vertical Expertise
- Develop a deep understanding of chemical industry supply chains, customer challenges, and market trends.
- Provide valuable market insights to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor by identifying logistics optimization opportunities.
- Understand industry-specific requirements including dangerous goods, tank logistics, warehousing, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Product, Customer Experience, Area Sales, Operations, and Vertical teams.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and strategic planning.
- Coordinate internal resources to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Support tender management and pricing discussions for strategic opportunities.
Business Planning & Reporting
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear visibility of opportunities and growth initiatives.
- Deliver accurate forecasts and regular business updates.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and emerging customer trends.
- Contribute to annual business planning and growth strategies for the Chemicals vertical.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Proven track record of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience.
- Proven track record of hunting and acquiring new customers.
- Experience working within logistics, transportation, supply chain, chemicals, or industrial sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Polish and English.
- Ability to travel regularly within Poland.
Preferred
- Existing network within the Polish chemical industry.
- Experience with multinational customers.
- Knowledge of chemical logistics, dangerous goods transportation or supply chain solutions.
- Understanding of international trade and transportation markets.
