The Role:
Entegris is currently seeking a Senior Engineer, Facilities & Utilities to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility.
In this role, you will oversee the factory support systems such as DIW, N2, air, exhaust, chillers, and boilers to maintain reliable and safe operations. You will monitor and troubleshoot the health of the utilities systems as well as scope and drive improvements to the factory including capital projects to expand the systems.
What You’ll Do
Drive a “Safety First” culture by performing equipment, process, and behavioral audits and recommending/implementing solutions to risks
Oversee the site utilities systems (including but not limited to compressed air, nitrogen, argon, DIW, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, etc) by leading troubleshooting efforts, monitoring trend data, conducting SPC reviews, and identifying improvements
Conduct safety reviews of the utility systems and provide input to HAZOP reviews
Lead medium sized capital projects to expand factory capacity
Perform facility modifications by utilizing the management of change process
Analyze preventative and corrective maintenance trends to reduce unplanned downtimes
Assist the facility manager in development of short term and long term plans, conceptual designs, layout requirements and documentation for the facility
Communicate effectively across the organization (e.g. Business Unit, Operations, Analytical etc.) to drive a result.
Assist in the management of contractors performing work at the site and ensure services and costs are reviewed and validated
Create required documentation for new/modified equipment and processes including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and recipes
Update, standardize, and consolidate existing documentation of processes including clear and accurate work instructions and PIDs for facility technicians
What We Seek:
Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
Professional Engineering (PE) certification a plus
4+ years of experience in operations, utilities, project execution, and continuous improvement of equipment that supports chemical purification and/or packaging.
Demonstrated leadership ability to drive cross-functional project execution and problem solving while maintaining positive/collaborative working relationships
Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, Control Logic Diagrams, Instrumentation Selection, and Valve and Line Sizing
Experience with FMEA/PHA or other risk assessment tools
Experience scoping and executing capital projects of small to moderate scale
Ability to present technical data to all levels of the organization
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as necessary
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally in support of various engineering projects (<5%)
Desired Qualifications
Experience with SPC, ISO quality standards, management-of-change for product/process control, chemical compatibility studies
Familiarity with handling hazardous materials
Experience with AutoCAD/Solidworks or similar a plus
Boiler, tank and utility system process design experience
Tenacity to drive projects to completion to deliver world class performance in a timely manner
Professionalism, integrity and high degree of accountability
Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels and functional groups within the organization

Compensation: $91,000.00-$120,000.00 a year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
