Job Description & Summary

About the team

Applied Intelligence & Autonomous Operations (A2O) is part of PwC Czech Republic and operates within the xTG / Financial Crime practice. While rooted in Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime, the team works across banking, insurance and other regulated industries, delivering AI, data and technology solutions that move beyond proof of concept into production. A2O combines PwC’s network, regulatory expertise and market reach with a hands-on, execution-focused approach to solving complex client challenges.

Job description & summary

You will own pipeline growth and the practice’s alliance and partnership networks, acting as A2O’s commercial engine and external face.

Business Development (primary mandate)

  • Own pursuit response end to end: lead solution narrative and client engagement on RFPs, grounded in what A2O has actually shipped, drawing on PMO / bid-management support where the practice has it.

  • Independently manage a small portfolio of main named accounts (three to five) on the commercial relationship, building the kind of client relationship that survives a bad sprint because trust was already banked; pull in the FDE/Delivery & Operations Lead for deep technical defense when a conversation needs it.

  • Represent A2O in client-facing pursuit conversations, and read the room on what the client actually needs versus what they asked for.

  • Stay ahead of where the market is heading: regulatory shifts, model and platform releases, competitor moves, so pursuit conversations lead with what is coming, not just what is current.

Technology & Services Alliances, Talent Partnerships

  • Own day-to-day execution of existing vendor relationships, and keep them healthy between the moments the Director needs to step in.

  • Manage hyperscaler (Azure / AWS / GCP), AI labs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) and other tech product and platform companies co-sell relationships turning them into pipeline, not just logo slides.

  • Own talent-pipeline partnerships for niche FDE sourcing, anticipating where the next scarce skill set will be needed before a client engagement forces the search, and hand qualified leads to the FDE/Delivery & Operations Lead for bench integration.

  • Strategic alliance decisions remain with the Director; this role executes and reports back, reliably and without having to be chased.

Development & Innovation

  • Close to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, identifying high-potential start-ups and scale-ups that A2O can partner with to enhance its service offering.

What matters to us

  • 8–12 years of total experience, with a demonstrated track record in business development and client relationship management within professional services or a comparable regulated-industry consulting environment.

  • A track record of sourced or closed pipeline supported by specific figures.

  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor or hyperscaler alliance relationships and converting them into pipeline.

  • A consistent habit of following market developments and translating changes in AI platforms, regulation or competitor positioning into commercial action.

  • Advanced English.

  • A strong bias towards execution, direct communication and surfacing bad news early.

What will help you stand out

  • Familiarity with the EU regulatory landscape for AI and data, particularly GDPR and the EU AI Act.

  • Broader regulatory exposure, including DORA or AMLR.

  • Experience scouting, evaluating or building relationships with start-ups and scale-ups.

  • Working technical literacy across AI and data platforms sufficient to lead a credible pursuit conversation.

  • Hands-on production delivery experience.

  • German, French or Spanish.

Why you’ll enjoy working here

  • Professional growth that matches your ambitions and pace. Gain in months the kind of experience that can take years to build elsewhere.

  • Fair pay with no gaps. We are among the few companies in the Czech Republic certified for Equal Pay.

  • A flexible benefits programme with 55,000 points to spend on what matters most to you.

  • 35 days of paid time off, including three well-being days and two additional days off at the end of the year.

  • An opportunity to give back to the community with one paid volunteering day every year.

  • The chance to work from one of PwC’s international offices (available from the Senior Associate level).

  • We support your learning and development journey: We offer training in business, soft, and digital skills (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI, and more), along with a wide range of additional courses and workshops designed to help you further develop your professional expertise and personal skills.

  • A buddy programme, regular feedback, and access to a coach who can support your professional development and career path.

  • Extensive well-being support and initiatives promoting a healthy lifestyle, from Dr. Digital and Human Dynamic programmes to workplace yoga and running events.

  • An ultrabook and an iPhone with unlimited data.

  • Social events and Away Days.

At PwC, we help clients solve today’s and tomorrow’s challenges across audit, consulting, tax, legal, technology, and data. We create an environment where people can learn, grow, and build a career in their own way. We believe the best results come from diverse experiences and perspectives.
