ASSISTANT BUYER

Ladies Sportswear &Activewear

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

· Provide operational support to the Buyer.

· Analyze financial data.

· Develop merchandise assortments.

· Negotiate with vendors and suppliers.

· Organize and maintain department filing, shipping, order maintenance, and store receipts.

· Analyze and resolve order discrepancy issues.

· Conduct gross margin and vendor profitability analysis.

· Provide merchandise direction, including key item presentations and flow of goods to the stores organization.

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and position-related experience preferred.

· Must possess strong math skills, good judgment, and the ability to learn new skills.

· Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and data entry.

· Must have strong analytical, financial and strategic planning skills.

· Must possess good communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

· Must be flexible and have the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Some travel required.

· Must have been with K&G for at least 6 months and be in good standing in your current position.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

· Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

· Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily

· Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally

· Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment

· Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from Dublin California office.
