Global Corporate Headquarters & Global Innovation Center
Position Summary
The Director of Facilities leads strategy, operations, safety, compliance, capital planning, and service delivery for multiple critical sites, including a global corporate headquarters and global innovation center totaling 250,000+ sq. ft. of office, laboratory, technical, collaboration, and support space.
This role ensures facilities are safe, reliable, efficient, customer-ready, and aligned with enterprise priorities while partnering closely with Executive Leadership, R&D, Innovation, EHS, IT, Security, Finance, Procurement, and HR.
Scope of Responsibility
Sites: Multiple strategic locations, including:
Global Corporate Headquarters
Global Innovation Center
Associated office, lab, collaboration, meeting, customer experience, and support spaces
Facility Size: 250,000+ sq. ft. combined
Environment: Corporate office, R&D laboratories, pilot/technical spaces, meeting centers, amenities, and shared services areas
Functional Oversight: Facilities operations, maintenance, capital projects, workplace services, lab infrastructure, utilities, vendor management, space planning, compliance support, and emergency response
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-site facilities operations, governance, service standards, and long-range infrastructure planning across headquarters and innovation center environments.
- Oversee workplace services, building systems, critical lab utilities, maintenance programs, asset reliability, emergency response, and business continuity.
- Ensure office, lab, pilot, technical, customer-facing, and collaboration spaces are safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.
- Develop and manage operating budgets, capital plans, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, lab modifications, and vendor contracts.
- Partner with business leaders on space planning, hybrid work needs, customer visits, executive events, R&D enablement, sustainability, and cost optimization.
- Maintain compliance with applicable safety, environmental, fire/life safety, building code, laboratory, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive facilities, engineering, real estate, or operations leadership experience, including large-scale, multi-site environments of 250,000+ sq. ft.
- Experience managing both corporate office and laboratory/R&D facilities, including critical building systems, lab utilities, capital projects, budgets, vendors, and compliance requirements.
- Preferred certifications include CFM, FMP, PMP, LEED AP, CHFM, or PE; experience with CMMS, BAS/BMS, energy management, GMP, ISO, HACCP, or GLP is a plus.

Leadership Scope
May lead facilities managers, project managers, workplace services leads, coordinators, and matrix partners including EHS, Security, Procurement, IT, engineering consultants, construction contractors, lab services providers, janitorial teams, and workplace amenity vendors.
Working Conditions
Primarily on-site role with regular presence at both the global corporate headquarters and global innovation center. Availability is required for urgent facility issues, emergency response, and business continuity events; occasional travel may be required.

$181,400.00-$241,866.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
