| Responsibilities — What you’ll do: |
- Design and develop low-noise multi-rail power distribution networks (PDNs) and power conditioning circuits for aerospace or defense systems.
- Build electrical and power interfaces that align with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) guidelines to allow easy component swapping and future upgrades.
- Optimize power electronics layouts to meet strict Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) constraints common in airborne or mobile platforms.
- Ensure all power designs comply with defense standards such as MIL-STD-704 (aircraft power quality) and MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC controls).
- Use EDA tools to simulate power integrity, thermal performance, and signal integrity for multi-layer Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
- Author test plans and execute hardware verification in laboratory environments, ensuring ruggedness under harsh environmental conditions.

| Required Qualifications — We need someone who: |
- Has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Has 6-10 years of experience in hardware design, power electronics, or electrical system integration within the defense or aerospace sectors
- Has hands-on experience with DC-DC/AC-DC converter topologies, switching regulators, rigid-flex PCB layout, and filtering circuits.
- Has basic familiarity with open architecture frameworks or modular engineering principles

| Preferred Qualifications — Bonus points if you: |
- Can demonstrate practical experience implementing specific open standards such as WOSA, SOSA, FACE, or OpenVPX
- Have experience designing power architectures for high-speed processors, FPGAs, RF subsystems, or telemetry units
- Can demonstrate proficiency with tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, LTspice, or Ansys/SIwave for power analysis
- Have specific knowledge of aerospace-grade power sources, such as specialized batteries (lithium-ion, thermal batteries) or supercapacitors
- Have hands-on proficiency in industry-standard programs like AutoCAD, Revit, or MATLAB
- Can Demonstrate experience troubleshooting hardware, utilizing oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering equipment
- Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C#, C++, Python
