The Synthetics API planning team is recruiting for a Materials Requirement Planner (MRP).

The Materials Requirement Planner is responsible for the supply of pharmaceutical products for our patients. The MRP planner owns the inventory management of raw materials ensuring product availability while optimizing cost, including Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory. The planner defines, measures, analyzes, implements improvements and planning control processes to ensure base business performance, launch readiness and long-term preparedness are aligned with J&J IM Supply Chain strategic objectives. The success of this role is measured by timely deliveries of orders, which meet target inventory levels and maintain continuity of supply to our internal network & customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, publish and communicate Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) to ensure that patients and customers’ requirements are met.

• Set up a balanced master plan optimizing operations efficiency, inventory cost and reliable supply for the horizon of 0-36 months.

• Maintain healthy inventory levels, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials. Contribute to the global balancing effort of Materials and Components ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability and cost.

• Maintain accurate purchase orders, inventory parameters, and demand forecasts across planning systems (OMP, SAP, and One Network) and communicate to our suppliers & CMO’s accordingly to ensure material availability and a reliable supply plan

• Proactively identify issues that may impact supply, drive short- and long-term planning activities/processes and day-to-day planning

• Lead improvement projects, participate in IMT and critical issue discussions

• Create and maintain relationships, internally and externally, that allows plants to interpret demand and inventory requirements and respond with the right capacity, products and schedules to meet (internal) customer requirements.

• Collaborate across a diverse stakeholder network, including SMEDS, Procurement, API manufacturing sites in Geel and Cork, External Quality, and EPLs to ensure alignment on supply, planning, and operational priorities

• Partner with Global Procurement and SMEDS to drive Supplier performance improvement including quality and timely delivery.

• Manage relationships with CMOs, including the onboarding and integration of new external manufacturing partners to support business growth and supply continuity.

• Drive S&OP maturity with CMOs by strengthening planning processes, improving demand and supply visibility, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the external manufacturing network.

• Tracks and reports site / platform level supplier service performance, communicating the information to the relevant parties.

• Collaborate with (External) Quality and Warehouse staff regarding rejected / defective materials, making the physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a timely return of goods or disposal.

• Focuses on and encourage continuous improvements (CI) within the synthetics planning team.

• Serve as a role model for Credo based decision-making and represent MRP Planning on Global Planning and cross team initiatives

Qualifications

Education:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related Business field is needed.
• Supply Chain Certification is preferred e.g., APICS.
• Lean Certification is desirable.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics or Manufacturing) is required.
• Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national environment.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharmaceutical industry preferable.
• Experience in the use of SAP is Required.
• Experience in the use of OMP, One Network and PowerBI is preferred.
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Proficient in Excel, Analytical mindset

The anticipated pay range for this position, in the primary posting location, is:

€60 000,00 - €96 255,00

 

 

The anticipated pay ranges for additional locations are:

 

Belgium – The anticipated base pay range for this position is [71 145,00 – 96 255,00
