About our property:

  The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. What you will have an opportunity to do:

McArthur's is named after the resort's architectural inspirations serving New American cuisine with hints of the Sonoran Desert delivering a creative fusion of meticulously sourced ingredients brought from farm to table in a menu of comforting delight.  

The McArthur's Food and Beverage Manager directs and administers sales of food and beverage in restaurants and lounge.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Hire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in food & beverage operations throughout the Hotel. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff. Assign and instruct Beverage staff in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement were necessary.  

  • Field customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgement, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations. Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.  

  • Develop and implement basic operating standards for Food & Beverage service in compliance with federal, state, local and Hilton's own practices as well as Forbes standards. (e.g. Employee Alcohol Awareness Training and Compliance)  

  • Maximize department profitability; implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs and monitor the Outlet’s budget to ensure efficient operations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses. Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, retrieving, and stocking product. Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.  Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancement measures. Maintain established inventory by ordering all liquor and supplies in accordance with business needs.  

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION  

  • High School graduate or equivalent, required.  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.  

 

EXPERIENCE  

  • At least two (2) years of food and beverage leadership experience.   

  • Luxury hotel / resort experience preferred.   

 

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES  

  • Food Handlers Card / ServSafe Certification   

  • Title 4 liquor license 

  • CPR / First Aid Certification, preferred.
