A family moving from Los Gatos to San Francisco is seeking an educational and development-focused nanny for their baby boy who will be 6 months old. Their ideal candidate has a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development as well as prior experience working as a teacher working in a preschool or daycare. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities and engaging in play geared towards baby's growth, guiding parents through milestones and helping to establish a routine, as well as other child-related tasks (laundry, bottles/preparing solids, and light tidying).
Candidates should have a reliable and safe vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage) or comfortable taking public transportation to activities. Flexibility to occasionally help on the weekends is appreciated. Ultimately the best person for them is someone honest, trustworthy, a great communicator, and genuinely loves working with infants!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
• E.C.E. certification or C.D. degree; ideally with experience teaching in a preschool or daycare
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Hindi (nice to have)
Qualifications
• COVID-vaccinated + staying current on booster at least until baby is 6 mos old
• TB and Tdap
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage) or experienced taking public transportation
• Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally 2 x year; trips are about 2 weeks (nice to have)
• Caring, trustworthy, organized
• E.C.E. certification or C.D. degree; ideally with experience teaching in a preschool or daycare
• Open, honest and direct communication

• Caring, warm, affectionate
• Comfortable with parents at home while on parental leave

Responsibilities
• Plan developmental activities
• Encouraging and working on milestones
• Engage in play geared towards growth; singing, reading, etc.
• Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
• Help with developmental transitions (solids, routine, potty training, etc.)
• Child laundry
• Light tidying (child's bedroom, play areas, common spaces)
