Description
- Reconciles daily and monthly all funds received for the instruments issued by the License Office to the License Office software system.
- Balances bank transactions and ensures the license office staff have the proper funds available for daily cash transactions.
- Prepares monthly reports required to confirm accurate payment to school boards and Municipal, County and State governmental agencies.
- Assists the Supervisor, License Financial resolve discrepancies and help to issue monthly payments.
- Provides necessary correspondence for collection of worthless checks and unfunded transactions.
- Assists with reconciliation of bank statements.
- Works with other County departments as necessary to ensure that any changes and/or additions made by the State Department of Revenue are included in our County systems.
- Aids the License Office with customer’s questions or concerns.
- Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cash management experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Bonding may be required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution.
- Two years experience with County or State government.
- Experience in a County License Office or similar revenue department.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is essentially sedentary with nominal amount of walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
