Location: Winter Springs, FL

Employment Status: Full-Time & Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Shifts: Day / Evening / Overnight / Weekends

Pay: $ 16.50per hour, ($34,320.00annually) with higher compensation based on experience and education. 

Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hour for eligible shifts.

About the Position

IMPOWER is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our residential substance use treatment program serving adolescents. BHTs play an important role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment while helping youth develop healthy routines, life skills, positive relationships, and greater independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to youth throughout daily routines, meals, chores, groups, recreational activities, community outings, and other program activities.
• Monitor behavior, interactions, and the residential environment to support safety and well-being.
• Build positive, professional relationships with youth while reinforcing healthy boundaries, coping skills, and appropriate behaviors.
• Support youth in developing independent living, social, and daily life skills.
• Transport youth to appointments, court appearances, community outings, and other approved activities using company vehicles.
• Assist with medication observation and documentation in accordance with program procedures and training.
• Respond to behavioral or crisis situations using approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.
• Complete timely and accurate progress notes, incident reports, safety documentation, and other required records.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA and IMPOWER policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience working with adolescents, behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential programs, or related services preferred.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include Level II background screening, local law enforcement checks, drug screening, verification of education and credentials, and E-Verify and drug screening. 

A valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required as applicable to the position.
