Job Description

As a Security Officer Identity Verification Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a chemical and petrochemical location. You will manage access and badge activity, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor access records, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in processes.
• Screen and document incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, escalating access discrepancies through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
