Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Authorization in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123):

• All candidates must possess a valid driver's license that meets the requirements set forth by the AUS Driver Policy (C123).
• Candidates are required to provide a copy of their valid driver's license during the application process.
• The license must be free of any restrictions that would prevent the candidate from performing their job duties safely and effectively.

Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124):

• Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license that is recognized in the state where the job will be performed (C124).
• It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that their driver's license is valid and complies with the regulations of the state in which they will be employed.
• A copy of the state-specific driver's license must be submitted prior to the commencement of employment.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Control access to restricted areas, communicate access concerns to site contacts, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, the facility perimeter, and surrounding areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
