Join our Facilities team as a General Maintenance and Landscaping professional, where you’ll play an essential role in keeping our facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds operating and looking their best. From troubleshooting repairs and completing improvement projects to landscaping and snow removal, no two days will be the same. What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping or snow removal.
• Keep landscape, woodlands, and parking lots free of litter and debris.
• Manage, install and maintain annual and perennial flowers, trees and shrubs. This shall include, but not be limited to, soil preparation, replacing and thinning of plants. Also, the ability to identify common pests, diseases, or other problems with plants, shrubs, and trees.  
• Plan and coordinate large landscape work with other departments to ensure building entrances and sidewalks are accessible.
• Compliance with all safety rules and regulations set forth in the safety manual.  
• Installation of other bulk items such as soil, gravel, granite, stone, etc.
• Winter maintenance of the grounds requires direct snow removal as well as supervision of snow removal by others, contractors, Facilities equipment and physical labor. This includes application of deicing chemicals to the roadways, sidewalks and building entries. Hours in the winter months are determined by snowfall removal necessity. 
• Performs additional duties as assigned, working together in a cooperative manner to achieve department and company goals.
• Maintain and repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Assemble and install machinery, desks, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.
• Responsible for maintenance of company vehicles. 
• Loads, unloads and transfers equipment to designated area in accordance with training procedures. 
• Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
• Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of residential or commercial buildings.
• Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings.
• Performs timely and accurate completion of all required reports and special projects
• Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to a member of management immediately. 
• Functions as role model to staff by performing all department functions as necessary, demonstrating good work habits, encouraging clean and safe work habits and promoting positive attitudes toward internal and external customers. 
• Attends and participates in all company-sponsored training programs as required.
•  Participates in team meetings by presenting and sharing information regarding services and overall update purposes.
• Understands the Organization’s structure and services and utilizes knowledge to positively impact business performance.
• All functions are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company and its mission. 

Requirements

• Proven maintenance experience.
• Proven landscaping experience.
• Pursues and obtains product knowledge on a regular basis, both independently through literature, web sites and through training programs provided and by asking questions.
• Works continuously, cooperatively, productively, and professionally with co-workers, customers, vendors, management ,and business partners. 
• Work in a self-reliant, self-motivating and detail-oriented manner.
• Work independently and make decisions with little direct oversight of a supervisor while at the same time working in a group/team environment. Makes suggestions and demonstrates initiative in executing tasks. 
• Provides a high-level of customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image at all times.
• Represents the company with the highest professional and ethical standards in dealing with internal and external customers.
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality in regard to all company and customer information and ensures information is safeguarded appropriately.
• Demonstrates ability to plan and schedule work activities effectively, arranges workload to resources available to get desired result, allows flexibility in planning to accommodate changing needs by adopting alternate plans, copes well with unexpected occurrences through proper planning.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather. 
• Ability to identify most trees, bushes, and plants native or common in Wisconsin.
• The ability to operate several types of machinery and attachments such as skid steer, Toolcat, mowers, tractors, tillers, brush mower, etc.
• ISA Arborist certification preferred.
