New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is home to one of the most advanced imaging centers in New York City. With a 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, a 128-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner and a 4D Ultrasound machine, New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital can produce the highest quality images and immediately incorporate the results into a patient's electronic medical record.

 

In this role, IR PAs play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care before, during and after procedures, and assist physicians in performing various IR procedures including but not limited to angiograms, biopsies, drains, and vascular access. IR PA will (1) collaborate with a team of medical professionals, including radiologist, nurses, and technologist to provide comprehensive care to patients, (2) maintain accurate and detailed patient records, (3) educate patients and their families regarding procedures, potential risks and benefits, and provide post procedure care instructions, (4) participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on advanced interventional radiology to ensure the highest level of care, (5) adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures, and (6) demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth through attending trainings and conferences and staying current with licensure and certification requirements. In this role, job duties will be split between inpatient and outpatient.

The weekly shift is Monday through Friday day shift only, with no night, weekend, or holiday coverage expected.

 

 Required Criteria

-Previous IR experience is required

 

Required Licensure Criteria

-Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies

-NYS PA Licensure

-Current NCCPA Certification

-ACLS/BLS

-NYS Infection Control certification

-DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance

Salary Range:

$70.30-$93.88/Hourly
