Plant Continuous Improvement Manager

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will support plant operations by expanding the capabilities of the Conagra Performance System and driving improvement in overall plant performance by identifying and executing opportunities for continuous improvement. You will lead processes to eliminate losses, reduce non value added activities, and strengthen organizational capability while partnering closely with plant leaders to engage hourly and salaried team members in structured process improvement efforts.

 

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and subject matter expertise to site leaders across all Conagra Performance System pillars.
• Own multiple Conagra Performance System pillars, including Focused Improvement, Continuous Skills Development, and Autonomous Manufacturing Development.
• Collaborate with cross functional partners within the site to drive continuous improvement activities and measurable results across all areas of the plant.
• Coach teams to analyze data, prioritize improvement opportunities, apply problem solving tools, and implement sustainable, systemic solutions.
• Lead the execution of improvement projects to deliver key performance indicators.
• Promote critical Conagra Performance System concepts through daily coaching and auditing across all areas of the plant.
• Foster a culture of technological transformation through the effective use and continuous improvement of digital tools.
• Partner with Continuous Improvement leaders at the enterprise and plant levels to improve standards, share best practices, and reapply key learnings.

 

Ingredients Required for Your Success

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Seven or more years of plant based operations experience in food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
• Seven or more years of experience with total productive maintenance based continuous improvement systems, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
• Seven or more years of people leadership or management experience.
• Experience working with production equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Experience using business analysis to lead project management and implementation initiatives.

• You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.

• This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation 

Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
