The Opportunity:
CACI, INC. – FEDERAL has a contract with a federal agency to implement, support, and maintain a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA solution supporting transportation and logistics operations for the Department of Defense. The CACI Team manages Planning, Procurement, Fulfillment, Financials, Application Development, and Technical Operations, including Security, GRC, and Identity & Access Management—within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) environment.

CACI is seeking to hire an ABAP developer for a new SAP-based development effort. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with development, maintenance, and support of applications related to SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4 HANA with latest versions and other IT systems and will also possess solid communication skills across all organizational levels. This role requires deep expertise in SAP ABAP Development and prior experience supporting USTRANSCOM (USTC) transportation operations, systems, or programs. The architect will ensure SAP ABAP capabilities align with DoD transportation doctrine, regulatory requirements (DTR, DoD FMR), and Clean Core principles while supporting complex integrations across DoD and commercial transportation ecosystems.


Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document ABAP code used in RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflows) objects
• Provide optimization, enhancement and O&M support for ABAP applications which perform financial and business management functions on SAP S/4 HANA (ECC, CRM, SRM, TMS)
• Participate in the analysis of the customer's business operations to validate requirements and scope, suggest process improvements, and assist in level of effort (LOE) estimation, if required
• Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents, and conduct unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality
• Support end-users Acceptance Testing activities, and participate in Production Operations and Release Management support
• Modernize User Interfaces by designing and building applications consistent with the SAP Fiori Application Architecture, including SAP application templates (e.g.: Worklist, Master-Detail), Smart Controls, Dynamic UI Content, Smart Templates, Fragments and Themes
• Implementing Fiori applications (transactional, factsheet and analytical) and enhancing standard applications using enhancement framework
• Designing & modeling OData services using the Gateway Service Builder
• Fielding applications within existing application Launchpad environment

Qualifications:

Required: 

• High degree of initiative, creativity, and technical ability to successfully function on this team is required.
• Demonstrated experience with development, maintenance, and support of applications related to SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4 HANA and other IT systems.
• Experience developing software in SAP NetWeaver ABAP Stack environments using:
• ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, ABAP online transactions, Webdynpro
• SAP interfacing technologies BAPI, ALE, IDOC's, PI, SOAP, XML, Webservice, Proxies, APIs, REST services
• Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and backend OData services
• User Exits, BADIs, and Batch Programming
• SAP UI5 related technologies and development tools (e.g.: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, VSCode, Eclipse, etc.)
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA - Data Modeling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS views, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services, Data Base Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA and HANA Live models consumption.
• Knowledge and experience using ABAP RESTful Programming Model ABAP Development for SAP S/4HANA.
• Expert troubleshooting, debugging and problem analysis skills.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
