Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a dependable, hands-on Groundskeeper / Maintenance Technician to support our Grand Prairie, TX dealership.

This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the dealership property, including outdoor grounds, parking and inventory areas, customer-facing spaces, offices, restrooms, shop areas, and other facilities.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices when something needs attention, and is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities throughout the day. From property upkeep and landscaping to minor repairs and indoor cleaning, this position plays an important role in keeping our dealership professional, safe, and ready for both customers and employees.

Grounds & Property Maintenance

• Maintain dealership grounds, parking areas, walkways, inventory areas, and other outdoor spaces.
• Mow, trim, edge, remove weeds, and maintain landscaped areas as needed.
• Remove trash, debris, leaves, and other materials from dealership property.
• Keep customer entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor inventory displays clean and presentable.
• Perform pressure washing and general exterior cleaning as needed.
• Monitor landscaping, irrigation, drainage, fencing, and exterior areas for maintenance concerns.
• Help maintain organization and overall appearance of outdoor dealership areas.
• Report property damage or larger maintenance concerns to management.

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

• Conduct routine inspections of dealership buildings and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Complete basic repairs including painting, minor carpentry, basic plumbing, hardware replacement, and general facility upkeep.
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, filters, and other basic facility components as needed.
• Monitor doors, locks, signage, lighting, and other dealership equipment for proper operation.
• Assist with basic preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Communicate larger repair or facility concerns to management and assist outside vendors when necessary.
• Support setup and breakdown for dealership events, displays, meetings, and other activities.

Indoor Cleaning & Dealership Appearance

• Maintain cleanliness of customer-facing areas, offices, restrooms, break areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean windows, and perform other routine cleaning duties.
• Empty trash and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Clean and restock restrooms and other common areas.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when additional supplies are needed.
• Help ensure the dealership maintains a clean, professional, and welcoming appearance throughout the day.

Equipment & General Support

• Safely operate lawn equipment, pressure washers, hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Perform basic inspections and routine care of assigned maintenance equipment.
• Keep tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies clean and organized.
• Assist with moving equipment, supplies, furniture, displays, and other dealership materials as needed.
• Support dealership departments with general facility and property needs.
• Perform additional maintenance and operational duties as assigned based on business needs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety procedures when operating tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Properly store and handle cleaning products, chemicals, and maintenance materials.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain clean and unobstructed walkways, work areas, and customer spaces.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in facility maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, janitorial services, property maintenance, or a similar hands-on role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair practices.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, landscaping equipment, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to perform basic painting, minor repairs, and general facility upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, professional property.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors throughout the day.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing dealership needs.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying Texas weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds as needed.
• Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the workday.
