This is an exciting opportunity to join our Employee Relations team: Working in collaboration with the EMEA Employee relations Team, you will apply relevant employee relations approaches and solutions, to provide clarity and support to our HR Team and line managers.

Manager, Employee Relations France, Belgium & Luxembourg (H/F)

Responsibilities

Workers Council Materials and Management

  • Partner with and support the Head of HR FraBeLux with Work Council’s relationship and negotiation in the respective countries

  • Draft materials for Work Council presentation

  • Close collaboration with the FraBeLux HR Business partners in all employee relations matters and related Works Council topics

  • Ensure compliance between the Work Council’s agreements and the employment laws in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and other assigned EMEA countries

  • Support Head of ER EMEA in Works Council relationships in EMEA Region

Policy Management

  • Review, edit and support changes to and/or the implementation of any new HR and ER policies and procedures for FraBeLux

  • Updating policy content for the HR portal for FraBeLux

  • Partner with HR FraBeLux in the escalation of employment issues, policy and process interpretation

Case Management

  • Partner with FraBeLux HRBPs in advising and coaching managers on handling relevant employee issues, conflict resolution, and the interpretation of employment policies and practices

  • Documenting handling of employee matters, including investigations

  • Performance Management: Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management matters, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and termination processes  

  • Supporting the Head of ER EMEA on complex cases and change programmes, often requiring summation of local policies and procedures.

  • Overseeing outside counsel, including controlling spend, on employment disputes, including litigations. 

Projects

  • Leading on Employee Relations Projects

  • Acting as an advocate of best practice and Employee Relations Policy on project groups

  • Managing Data Subject Access requests in collaboration with the Data Privacy Team

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in related fields (Business, law, HR)

  • Several years of managing WoCo’s relationship and in-depth negotiation experience in an international corporate environment, ideally having worked in a financial services environment as an employee relations policy/ case management focused role

  • Deep understanding of French employment law; preferably understanding of Belgium and Lux employment law

  • Experience in developing and implementing employee relations policies and procedures

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong drafting skills in French as well as in English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound judgments and decisions in complex employee relations situations

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact, discretion, and professionalism

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities and to work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards

  • Strong communication skills
