40Summary:
The Audiologist, Extern provides comprehensive diagnostic ENT and rehabilitative audiology services, in a clinical setting, to pediatric patients with hearing disorders, age birth to 21. The role emphasizes family-centered care, long-term management of hearing loss, and interdisciplinary coordination with ENT and speech-language pathology teams. Works closely with the child, family, and interdisciplinary teams, including school personnel to recommend and implement a plan which enhances a child’s functional hearing to facilitate learning and development.
Education and Experience
Current enrollment in fourth year of doctoral program in Audiology with an accredited university, with completed required coursework.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
State license or eligible for intern license in Audiology.
Current BLS required.
