ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a People Operations Partner at Talon.One, you'll be part of our 18-person People & Culture team, helping shape both our business and culture. You'll partner closely with our Senior People Operations Partner based in Boston to support our growing US team, while also collaborating with the wider People Operations team in Berlin. As we continue to invest in our US presence, you'll play a key role in building out our local People Operations function and delivering an exceptional employee experience.
People Operations touches nearly every stage of the employee lifecycle, making it a critical function in shaping our culture and supporting our people. We're looking for someone who thrives on balancing detail-oriented execution with a proactive, flexible, and positive approach to solving problems and supporting employees.
This is a remote role, but you must be located within commutable distance of Talon.One's hub in Boston, MA.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
Our People Operations team is globally focused and currently based in two locations - Berlin and Boston. In this role, you’ll report to the Head of People Operations and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate, efficient, and people-centered HR support across the organization.
ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:
- Act as the first point of contact for all People Operations for our US-based employees
- Own all aspects related to payroll and reporting
- Take full ownership of various HRIS systems including data changes, reporting, information auditing, and data transfer
- Own all benefits administration including answering employee questions, processing employee changes, reporting on data, overall system administration and partnership with our vendors/broker
- Collaborate and execute across departments to ensure a successful employee onboarding experience for all US-based new hires
- Support employees Leave of Absence requests in compliance with various local and state laws
- Seek and suggest improvements to create more efficient and scalable People Operations processes
- Participate in global People Operations projects related to the development of processes to support Talon.one’s growth on regional and global levels
- Remain up-to-date with compliance laws and updates within our states of operation, along with global trends
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- You have 3+ years of experience working in People Operations or HR Administration in the US
- You have 3+ years of experience working with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP and BambooHR
- You have experience working remotely, independently on decentralized teams globally
- You bring experience with multi-state payroll and benefits administration
- You exhibit a clear understanding of HR Operations practices and legal requirements of the US, including familiarity with HR policies, processes, and compliance
- You embrace a collaborative mindset to effectively partner with colleagues, primarily based in Berlin, contributing significantly to both the team's and company's overall success
- Ideally, you have experience working in a scale-up environment
- You demonstrate strong verbal communication and consulting skills
- You have proven experience problem solving, reporting and analytical skills

The estimated total compensation for this role is $80,000 - $100,000, though actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and location. The salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted at any time.
