Job Description
Position Overview
Senior Associate, LNG supports the Senior Manager, LNG Procurement in Invenergy's current LNG supply activities and supports the evaluation, development, and implementation of new energy business opportunities requested from time to time by his supervisor or the Commercial Director.
This position is intended to strengthen the department's technical and commercial capabilities, support the execution and secure continuity of all LNG operations, and expand Invenergy’s capacity to develop and execute new energy business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the contractual and performance management of LNG Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) and related contracts.
- Support procurement and contract management activities associated with LNG operations and terminal services.
- Monitor operational and commercial performance through reporting, data analysis, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
- Support the assessment and advancement of new business opportunities across renewable energy, natural gas, energy storage, and infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to technical, commercial, and economic assessments related to EDP expansion opportunities and future energy infrastructure investments.
- Coordinate consultants, technical studies, due diligence processes, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Experience
3–6 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
- Power Generation.
- Renewable Energy.
- Energy Infrastructure.
- Energy Project Development.
- Commercial or Business Development.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects from technical, commercial, or financial perspectives is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Knowledge of energy project development processes.
- Knowledge of contract administration principles.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is desirable.
- Strong understanding of commercial and operational processes within the energy industry is desirable.
- Basic financial modeling and business case development skills are desirable.
