Environmental Health & Safety Leader
DuPont Printing and Films is seeking a passionate and high-performing individual to lead the Towanda site’s EHS program. The Towanda facility, which employs approximately 60 people, is committed to operating safely, sustainably, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. The Environmental Health & Safety Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS programs, procedures, and systems that support safe and compliant operations. This role provides technical guidance to site leadership and employees, supports regulatory and corporate compliance, drives audit readiness and corrective actions, and partners across operations and functional teams to strengthen EHS performance and foster a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support implementation of site EHS programs, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with regulatory, corporate, and site requirements.
- Provide EHS technical guidance, coaching, and interpretation of requirements to employees, supervisors, and site leadership.
- Support compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and security requirements, including OSHA, EPA, DEP, DOT, RCRA, Title V, NPDES, ISO14001, and related site obligations.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, corrective actions, regulatory interactions, and follow-up activities to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain required EHS records, permits, reports, metrics, and information systems; support required environmental and hazardous substance reporting.
- Support waste management and environmental compliance activities, including waste characterization, storage, labeling, vendor coordination, and regulatory recordkeeping.
- Communicate EHS performance, incidents, action items, audit results, regulatory updates, safety reminders, and improvement activities to site stakeholders.
- Participate in DuPont EHS networks and collaborate with internal and external resources, consultants, and operating areas to resolve EHS issues and improve site performance.
- Serve as site lead or point of contact for assigned EHS, environmental, security, or emergency response-related programs as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or related Manufacturing discipline.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing, EHS, or relevant industry experience.
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and management systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, corporate, and site requirements to operational activities.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- DOT and/or RCRA certification or related environmental compliance experience.
- Experience with ISO14001, auditing, Process Safety Management, or government inspection processes.
- Knowledge of work permitting processes such as hot work, confined space, and permit-to-work.
- Experience supporting environmental reporting, waste management, occupational health, or site emergency/security programs.
