Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Victim Advocate

LOCATION: Jay, OK

STATUS: Open

CLOSING: until filled

SALARY: 35,000 – 38,000

BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly. Paid holidays.      

POSITION SUMMARY: The District Attorney's Office for the 13th Judicial District is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated individual to serve as a Victim Advocate in our Delaware County Office. This full-time position provides direct assistance and support to crime victims as they navigate the criminal justice system.

REQUIREMENTS: Experience in victim services, criminal justice, social services, counseling, law enforcement, or a related field.

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and victim rights.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing trauma.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations.
