MAPS develops custom investment solutions for strategic and high-value institutional clients, including multi-asset portfolios, discretionary mandates and deployment strategies. The Analyst will support the design, evaluation and implementation of these solutions through cash-flow modeling, portfolio construction, scenario analysis and investment research. The role will require the translation of quantitative and qualitative analysis into clear portfolio recommendations and client-ready materials.
The Analyst will work closely with Ares investment teams, relationship management teams, investor relations teams, the Quantitative Research Group as well as the broader Ares Strategic Partnerships to develop and implement integrated solutions.
The role offers broad exposure across the Ares platform and requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, responsiveness and the ability to manage both longer-term analytical initiatives and time-sensitive client deliverables.

- Collaborate with Ares investment teams across Credit, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Secondaries to develop integrated multi-asset solutions.
Client and Partnership Execution
- Support the preparation of client proposals, portfolio reviews, investment committee materials and other client-ready analyses.
- Coordinate inputs from investment teams, relationship teams and internal functional specialists.
- Participate in selected client and internal meetings and manage analytical follow-up requests.
- Support ongoing oversight of discretionary mandates and reference portfolios in partnership with internal teams.
- Work with Portfolio Operations and functional partners to assess fund structures, leverage, capital flows, fees, tax, legal and operational considerations.
Platform Development
- Build repeatable analytical processes, templates and reporting tools that improve quality, consistency, scalability and turnaround time.
- Document methodologies, maintain appropriate data and model controls, and support automation of recurring analyses.
- Contribute to internal education, knowledge sharing and thought-leadership materials, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in alternative investments, private markets investing, portfolio analytics, investment consulting, asset allocation, quantitative research, investment banking or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of corporate finance, portfolio theory and capital markets, with demonstrated interest in private markets and alternative asset management.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience and comfort in using Python, SQL, R or similar programming tools
- Demonstrated use or interest in using AI tools to systematize workflows and models would be a plus
- Experience preparing client-ready analysis or supporting institutional client engagements is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey quantitative insights to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, highly motivated and intellectually curious, with strong judgment and a commitment to continuous development.
- Proactive problem solver comfortable navigating ambiguity and forming perspectives with incomplete information.
