What you will do:
Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. In this role, you will help deliver building control solutions that support fire, security, and other low-voltage subsystems while helping customers achieve safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
As a Complex Fire Alarm Lead Systems Specialist, you will assist in the design, configuration, software development, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex building control systems (building systems including security, fire, and other low voltage control sub-systems). You will work under specific direction to translate project requirements into clear technical designs, detailed submittals, and reliable system performance from installation through handover.
How you will do it:
Design and configure technically complex building control systems in accordance with contract documents.
Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics as required.
Develop and test software programs needed to operate the system to the intent of the project requirements.
Support the integration of security subsystems and other low-voltage control subsystems, including lighting, nurse call, and data networks where applicable.
Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, submittals, and installation documentation with project stakeholders.
Select, order, and track materials, and coordinate factory-mounting processes to support project and factory schedules.
Assist with loading and commissioning system and network-level controllers, validating complete system functionality, and troubleshooting issues with subcontractors and other trades.
Provide field change information to support accurate as-built drawings and software updates.
Keep management, the customer, consultants, the Johnson Controls field installation team, and subcontractors informed of project progress and open issues.
Assist with site-specific training for owners and operators, participate in release meetings, and support value engineering efforts that maintain customer satisfaction.
Adhere to safety standards and maintain a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Translate contract requirements into accurate, buildable design deliverables that support installation, commissioning, and long-term system operation.
Focus on what matters by coordinating closely with project teams to remove obstacles during design, material flow, and system startup.
Own your work with accountability by keeping drawings, software, change information, and project communication current and reliable.
Improve every day by testing carefully, troubleshooting methodically, and using field feedback to strengthen system performance and documentation.

What we look for
Required
Technical diploma in related field or equivalent of three years’ experience.Demonstrated knowledge of the construction and Security & Fire Alarm industry.
Demonstrated experience in the integration of Security & Fire Alarm of building sub-systems. Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools.
Demonstrated knowledge of all Security & Fire Alarm building automation systems and other building subsystems highly desired.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,000 - 105,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
