POSITION SUMMARY:
The Contract Sales Manager for Bass Pro Shops – Hospitality Division is responsible for generating revenue through the development, negotiation, and management of contracted business for the resort. This position focuses on securing group, corporate, association, tour, leisure, and specialty market opportunities while building long-term client relationships. The Contract Sales Manager serves as a strategic sales partner, driving occupancy, group bookings, event revenue, and overall resort profitability through effective contract management and sales execution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prospect, solicit, and secure new business opportunities for group lodging, meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, meeting planners, travel partners, associations, and other key customers
- Execute sales plans and strategies to achieve room night, catering, and revenue goals
- Conduct sales calls, site inspections, trade shows, networking events, and client presentations
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of contracts with clients while maximizing resort profitability
- Prepare, review, execute, and maintain sales agreements and contracts
- Ensure all contractual obligations and deliverables are communicated to operational teams
- Work closely with legal, finance, and leadership teams regarding contract approvals and revisions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted clients
- Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, proposals, and requests for information
- Manage client expectations and ensure a seamless transition from sales to event execution.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and production reports
- Achieve established sales goals, revenue targets, and key performance indicators
- Utilize CRM systems to track prospecting activities, customer interactions, contracts, and sales performance
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports
- Maintain organized contract files and documentation
- All other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, conference centers, or related industries
- Experience negotiating and managing contracts preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive agreements in a fast-paced sales environment
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential financial and legal information with discretion
- Meticulously reviewing contracts to spot inconsistencies, errors, or ambiguities before execution
- Familiarity with the end-to-end sales cycle, proposals (RFP/RFQ), and pricing policies
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities
- Knowledge of hospitality sales processes and market segments
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and property management systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to build trust and develop long-term client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate direct reports

- Regularly walks, sits, stands, and works on a computer.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
