PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 

The Campaign Programming Specialist is responsible for the campaign development, audience segmentation, and campaign quality assurance in multiple marketing communication channels, including email, mobile push and SMS messaging. With a strong focus on campaign execution, the ideal candidate has superior attention to detail and time management skills, as well as the ability to understand business needs & objectives to consistently deliver pristine, on-time work. After deployment, the campaign programming specialist then provides stakeholders with campaign performance reports, including data-driven recommendations for future campaign optimization.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own the coding/building, approval process and deployment of daily, monthly, and ad-hoc campaigns. 

  • Contribute strategic thought leadership to the campaign testing & optimization strategies. 

  • Experience using Marketing Cloud and/or Braze to execute campaigns and perform activities such as audience selection, trigger qualifications, suppressions, segmentation, and arbitration. 

  • Maintain backlog of testing and optimization initiatives in progress; provide regular updates to stakeholders. 

  • Experience with SQL to create and confirm campaign audience segmentation. 

  • Perform quality control activities to ensure campaign deployment completes in a timely manner and the output is accurate and complete without errors. 

  • Maintain email best practices including browser/client compatibility, appearance of subject lines, use of images. 

  • Utilize amp script and/or dynamic content to personalize emails. 

 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION 

Required Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree 

 

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION 

  • 2-3 years of HTML experience, with hands-on experience building and deploying emails 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in email execution and managing email campaigns 

  • 2-3 years of SQL experience  

  • 2-3 years of experience working in Marketing Cloud 

  • Knowledge of M particle tool or any other CRM tool 

  • Understanding of Amp scripting to build personalization in emails 

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES 

  • Ability to code emails (HTML, CSS, and mobile responsive email design) 

  • Experience proactively managing own workload and output 

  • Strong interest to learn new tools with a natural curiosity 

  • Diligent adherence to best practices and QA procedures, with very strong attention to detail 

  • Ability to communicate strategies, results and insights effectively 

  • Comfortable working independently, with little or no supervision 

  • Strong project management skills 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Detail-oriented and performance focused 

  • Ability to solve problems both independently and as part of a team through a structured approach
