Description

Overview

A busy and loving family in Washington, D.C. is seeking an experienced, reliable, and engaging weekend nanny for their almost two-year-old daughter. Both parents are attorneys with demanding professional schedules and are looking for a consistent caregiver who can provide dependable coverage every Saturday and Sunday.

The family is highly involved in their daughter’s life and enjoys spending time with her whenever their schedules allow. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside hands-on parents and will have the awareness to recognize when to take the lead, when to provide support, and when to allow the family private time together.

The family is seeking someone upbeat, playful, gentle, and kind who can provide age-appropriate structure and boundaries without using punitive discipline methods such as timeouts. They appreciate a positive and respectful caregiving approach focused on redirection, modeling appropriate behavior, encouraging independence, and calmly helping their daughter understand what she can do rather than focusing only on what she cannot do.

The family plans to welcome another child in the future, so infant experience and an interest in growing with the family would be highly valued. This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional nanny seeking a consistent weekend position with a warm and communicative household.
