Job Profile description
As a Financial Operations Analyst at Kainos, you will support the Operations Manager in the management of the day-to-day operational processes within the Business Unit (BU). This will involve the support of the management team and wider BU including revenue reporting, P&L analysis, process improvements, profitability and other KPIs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working with the Operations Manager to support revenue forecasting process, including effective rates and BU performance analysis (Monthly P&L review)
Providing analysis on KPI data (margins; effective rates; fixed fee projects health) and present findings to the Operations Manager
Tracking staff utilisation and providing support for corrective action where appropriate
Analysing of all non-project time;
WIP analysis and follow up with relevant BU;
Backlog reconciliations and other various reports;
Working with PMO on PSA projects set up issues;
Supporting the Operations Manager in liaising with Central Teams within the business
Supporting continuous improvement and refinement of operational and commercial processes
Minimum (Essential) requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Professional Services or Finance Team environment
Excel advanced competency
Meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrable ability to develop relations across different parts of the business
Willingness to learn new things
Excellent communication skills
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
A positive “can do” attitude
Desirable:
Power BI experience
Newly qualified accountant (CA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc) or equivalent relevant experience desirable
