For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:
- 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience as a COBOL Developer, with expertise in Microfocus COBOL
- Experience translating business requirements into robust COBOL code on legacy platforms (e.g. securities/settlement systems)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted code-analysis and refactoring tools to understand existing modules and safely modify impacted components
- Experience building and maintaining unit/integration test suites, and supporting acceptance-test planning and execution
- Familiarity with PowerHouse (4GL) and/or Eloquence (Marxmeier) technologies and hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Ansible, ToolChain) and Git version control, would be a plus
- Fluency in English (B2) and Portuguese (C1)
- Availability for hybrid work based in Lisbon, 2/3 days a week (candidates should be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit)
