We are looking for an experienced OSP Design Engineers II & III to design and deliver construction-ready Fiber network solutions for U.S.-based telecom, utility, and broadband projects. The role supports Long Haul, Backbone, Middle Mile, FTTH, and FTTx networks, with a strong focus on design quality, constructability, engineering standards, and timely project delivery.
We are looking for an experienced OSP Design Engineers II & III to design and deliver construction-ready Fiber network solutions for U.S.-based telecom, utility, and broadband projects. The role supports Long Haul, Backbone, Middle Mile, FTTH, and FTTx networks, with a strong focus on design quality, constructability, engineering standards, and timely project delivery.
Candidates will be considered for Level II or Level III based on their experience, technical expertise, project complexity, and level of engineering ownership.
Work schedule: Monday - Friday from 5:30 PM till 1:30 AM IST - onsite (No WFH or Hybrid).
Location: EMAAR Digital Green, Tower B, Golf Course Road Extension, Sector 61, Gurugram, Haryana – 122011.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop aerial and underground OSP fiber network designs in accordance with client standards and engineering best practices.
- Create and maintain network records using IQGeo, Vetro, GIS, Katapult Pro, O-Calc, and related engineering platforms.
- Produce construction-ready engineering packages, including construction drawings, splice diagrams, permit exhibits, BOMs, and supporting documentation.
- Design & perform complex Long Haul, Backbone, Middle Mile, FTTH, and FTTx design projects for USA-based telecom, utility, and broadband clients.
- Develop optimized routing solutions for challenging field conditions.
- Design complex aerial and underground Fiber infrastructure in alignment with USA client standards, field conditions, and constructability requirements.
- Review design alternatives and recommend constructible, cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with GIS, Permitting, QA/QC, Field Survey, and Construction teams to resolve design issues, minimize rework, and achieve first-pass approval.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 2-5 years of OSP engineering or Fiber design experience, with demonstrated experience supporting U.S.-based projects. Level will be determined based on experience and technical capability.
- Strong experience with Long Haul, Backbone, Middle Mile, FTTH and/or FTTx Fiber network design.
- Strong knowledge of aerial and underground OSP infrastructure, Fiber routing, splice design, Fiber allocation, route optimization, and constructability.
- Hands-on experience preparing construction-ready OSP engineering packages and working with field survey/design inputs.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS platforms, with experience using IQGeo/Vetro and Katapult/O-Calc or similar OSP engineering tools.
- Good understanding of U.S. telecom construction practices, NESC requirements, permitting, utility coordination, and client engineering standards.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage projects, identify design risks, and resolve complex engineering issues.
- For Level III consideration, demonstrated experience with complex project ownership, peer design reviews, technical guidance/mentoring, and delivery of customer-ready engineering packages is preferred.
