Management Level:
M2Specific responsibilities include:
Oversee day‑to‑day operations for Tyson Foods’ Private Fleet across multiple shifts.
Provide leadership, guidance, and real‑time decision support to team members throughout the operation.
Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and shift coverage to maintain consistent service levels.
Train, coach, and onboard new Team Members, reinforcing safety, compliance, customer service and operational standards.
Step-in to perform operational duties during vacations, absences, or staffing shortages.
Monitor performance, identify issues, and support continuous improvement across shifts.
Assist the Terminal Manager with planning, organizing, and executing operational strategies.
Maintain communication across shifts to ensure alignment, handoff accuracy, and operational continuity.
Support compliance with Tyson Foods’ policies, DOT regulations, and Company safety initiatives.
Serve as a key leader within Transportation’s succession plan, developing skills and readiness for future Terminal Manager responsibilities.
Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 3+ years’ transportation or logistics experience with Tyson Private Fleet operational experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient across Microsoft tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and Copilot.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to deliver clear directions and maintain consistent information flow between teams and leadership
Special Skills: Self-motivated, approachable leader who takes initiative, anticipates needs and acts decisively
Supervisory: Responsible for supervising and training several Team Members.
Travel: 1-4 trips per year
