We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Steward to join our ParOne Clubhouse opening team. Reporting to the Sous Chef, this role oversees cleanliness, warewashing, equipment care, supply control, and team training across back-of-house areas.
Responsibilities
- Supervise stewarding operations and maintain clean, safe, organized kitchens, storage rooms, walk-ins, and back-of-house work areas.
- Inspect warewashing machines, kitchen equipment, carts, and tools to confirm they are clean, safe, and operating properly.
- Create and maintain daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning schedules and verify completed work.
- Order stewarding supplies, maintain par levels, and manage secure, orderly storage.
- Track food-and-beverage equipment inventory and coordinate distribution, collection, and storage.
- Support food delivery and the setup and breakdown of service stations for restaurant service, private events, and special activations.
- Lead recycling, waste-handling, deep-cleaning, and other assigned sustainability or sanitation projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and correct cleanliness, safety, or equipment concerns promptly.
- Train stewarding team members on cleaning methods, chemical safety, equipment use, personal protective equipment, and workplace expectations.
- Coordinate with culinary and clubhouse leaders to prioritize operational needs and maintain uninterrupted service.
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Stand and walk for extended periods, including up to six hours during a shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, squat, stretch, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate equipment and complete cleaning tasks.
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally push or pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds with appropriate assistance and safe technique.
- Work safely in environments ranging from freezer temperatures near -10°F to kitchen temperatures near 110°F.
- Work around water, cleaning chemicals, heat, steam, noise, and commercial kitchen equipment while following required safety procedures.
- Perform other job duties as requested by culinary leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of stewarding experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and leadership.
