Description

The Professional Services team delivers implementation and follow-up projects for MRI’s Evolution product, helping clients adopt effective solutions that meet their operational and business requirements. 

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software implementation, configuration, consultancy, and client support services across the MRI Evolution product suite. 

You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand requirements, analyse data and processes, identify practical solutions, and communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

The role requires strong problem-solving ability, client-facing consultancy skills, and the confidence to manage priorities, expectations, risks, and deliverables in line with agreed project outcomes. 

You will also contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and taking ownership of your ongoing professional development.

Please note that this role requires working UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 6:00pm BST/GMT (9:00 to 7:00 pm SA Time)to support the global team. 

We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Johannesburg office. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Implement MRI Evolution core products in line with agreed scope, project plans, and client requirements 

  • Deliver agreed project outputs, including system configuration, workflows, dashboards, reports, and supporting documentation 

  • Translate client requirements into clear technical specifications and practical solution recommendations 

  • Validate, interpret, and manipulate data to support implementation, reporting, and issue resolution activities 

  • Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  • Provide client advice, support, and guidance across the core product range to promote effective use and best practice 

  • Manage workload, deliverables, and customer expectations to agreed timelines, escalating risks, issues, complaints, and potential overruns promptly 

  • Prioritise client issues, obtain feedback, and ensure actions are addressed appropriately 

  • Collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute positively to team and business objectives 

  • Follow agreed working practices, governance standards, and ISO processes 

 

Skills required:  

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in software implementation, professional services, or consultancy roles 

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel for data analysis, validation, manipulation, and reporting 

  • Practical SQL Server experience, including the ability to read, write, and troubleshoot SQL queries 

  • Experience working with APIs and structured data formats such as JSON and XML 

  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools. 

  • Understanding of data ETL processes, including extract, transform, load, data cleansing, and reconciliation activities 

  • Ability to translate client requirements into clear technical documentation and solution recommendations 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Strong customer-facing consultancy skills, including managing expectations, prioritising issues, and supporting best-practice adoption 

  • Ability to work collaboratively within project teams while managing individual workload, deadlines, and escalations effectively 

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing across the team
