Description
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement a medium- to long-term external talent scouting strategy aligned with business priorities, critical roles and future capability needs.
- Build and maintain high-quality external talent pipelines for key roles and critical skills across AZ China.
- Lead proactive sourcing, research, talent mapping and talent intelligence activities across the Pharma and Healthcare sectors.
- Assess external talent beyond experience and qualifications, including capability, leadership potential, motivation, cultural fit and readiness for current or future roles.
- Partner strategically with business executives, HRBP and talent development to understand business and organizational needs and provide actionable external talent insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with passive talent, industry experts and external networks, ensuring ongoing engagement with priority talent.
- Influence stakeholders through credible talent intelligence, market insights and constructive challenge, and ensure relevant talent information is appropriately shared across teams and geographies.
- Represent AstraZeneca China contribute to the global Talent Scouts community by sharing local market insights, best practices and sourcing approaches.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or above; minimum 8 years of work experience in talent scouting, talent intelligence, executive search or a similar role.
- Proven experience and strong expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, with a good understanding of business, relevant functions, talent pools and market dynamics.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect business strategy and organizational priorities to external talent needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in proactive sourcing, desk search, talent mapping and building high-quality external talent pipelines.
- Strong ability to assess talent capability, potential, motivation, cultural alignment, and suitability for current or future opportunities.
- Good awareness of key talent movements, trending and emerging capabilities in the Pharma industry.
- Fluent English speaker with excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese; ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage passive and senior talent.
- Demonstrates discretion, integrity and trust-building capability when managing sensitive information.
