Bishop Gadsden, a nationally recognized senior living community on James Island, is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for team members and residents. This role is ideal for a technology professional with 3-5 years of IT support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, customer service, and supporting healthcare technology systems in a mission-driven environment.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a variety of hardware, software, network, and healthcare technology systems throughout the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 help desk support by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Manage support tickets from intake through resolution
- Create, modify, and maintain user accounts across multiple systems
- Administer Active Directory, including account creation, password resets, and account unlocks
- Support and troubleshoot company-issued mobile devices
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot nurse call and wander management systems
- Coordinate vendor support requests and track issues through completion
- Support healthcare audio-visual equipment and technology
- Maintain IT hardware inventory and equipment tracking
- Assist with user access management and periodic access audits
- Follow HIPAA, security, and compliance requirements
- Participate in IT projects and technology initiatives as needed
Requirements
What We Need In A Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
- 3-5 years of professional IT support, desktop support, help desk, or systems support experience
- Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft technologies
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory user administration
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity issues
- Experience working within a ticketing/help desk system
- Strong customer service and communication skills
