Responsibilities
• Lead marketing communications strategy and execution for the global brand team at HP, ensuring alignment with company standards and commercial priorities.
• Develop insight-driven marketing and creative briefs tied to business goals, measurable ROI, and brand outcomes.
• Partner with business unit, regional marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver integrated global programs across the marketing mix.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of AMB customer journeys and apply that knowledge to shape relevant, effective communications strategies.
• Leverage customer stories and proof points to create best-in-class brand storytelling that builds credibility, relevance, and differentiation.
• Develop global storytelling assets that position HP as a leader in the future of work, including how our technology helps companies and workers unlock growth and fulfillment.
• Develop a clear narrative around HP’s Sustainable Impact commitments and show how they translate into business advantage for customers.
• Develop successful owned and earned campaigns that expand reach, strengthen brand perception, and support business objectives.
• Lead agency partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand work that is strategically sound and commercially effective.
• Drive adoption of innovative marketing communications practices across the business.
• Manage budgets, partner funding, and financial processes for the function.
• Provide informal leadership, coaching, and guidance to less experienced team members and cross-functional partners.
Education and Experience
• Required: demonstrated commercial B2B marketing experience with ownership of campaigns from strategy, creative conception, and production through launch.
• Required: experience serving as the primary client lead with external creative or media agencies; agency-side experience is a plus.
• Required: proven stakeholder management experience in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
• Required: ability to present to executive leadership with poise, confidence, and clarity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of marketing communications experience, including at least 4 years of experience in brand strategy or strategic account management roles, and at least 2 years in the PC, IT, or broader technology sector.
• Professional fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Knowledge and skills
• Strong experience in insight- and data-led communications planning, including writing, evaluating, and guiding the development of high-quality creative briefs.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple campaigns simultaneously from strategy and production through in-market execution.
• Deep working knowledge of digital, social, content, and paid media channels.
• Strong brand judgment, with the ability to assess creative quality and ensure consistency with brand strategy.
• Solid budget management, forecasting, and operational process skills.
Impact & Influence
• Owns planning and execution for high-priority products or initiatives within the business.
• Influences cross-functional partners, peers, and managers across the region, function, or business group.
• Provides mentorship and day-to-day guidance to junior team members and partner teams.
• Engages senior marketing and business stakeholders on high-visibility initiatives when needed.
The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
