Job Description Summary
The B&E Service Systems Integration Leader (SIL) serves as a recognized technical authority within the gas turbine business. This role is responsible for driving functional, business, and broad company objectives associated with servicing the B&E Fleet. The SIL will demonstrate accountability for customer-facing support, proactive fleet management, and RCA prioritization. Beyond execution, the SIL will proactively contribute to the development of platform-wide service strategies and policies, serving as a key resource to shape long-term fleet management standards, operational best practices, and technical roadmaps.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
This role is within the Heavy-Duty Service Engineering (HDSE) Organization and is part of the Service Systems Engineering team. In this role, you will:
- Systems Engineering Methodology: Apply a cross-functional systems approach to service products, managing product requirements and specifications to ensure maximum performance and fleet operability.
- Strategy & Policy Development: Contribute to the development of global fleet service policies and technical strategies, ensuring alignment with GE Vernova’s long-term commercial goals and market competitiveness for the B&E segment.
- Operational Judgment: Navigate complex, ambiguous technical environments; use data-driven analysis to establish new approaches to fleet performance and best practices.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced engineers, leading cross-functional project teams through high-risk, high-impact initiatives.
- Proactive Fleet Management: Lead efforts to monitor leading indicators to maintain and improve reliability and availability fleet-wide; leverage data analysis to support strategic recommendations for the B&E fleet.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Develop collaborative relationships across Digital, Applications, Advanced Research Center, Product Management, and Global Supply Chain. Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups to enable transparency and speed in decision-making.
- Safety & Compliance: Embrace a Safety-first mindset, supporting product risk-reduction with a sense of urgency.
- Program Execution: Play a lead role in RCA prioritization and CAPA program execution (D5-D8), ITR, NPI & Upgrades support.
- Business Alignment: Be accountable for satisfying business targets aligned with the Gas Power Services business line, leveraging Lean daily management fundament
Required Qualifications
- For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
- Relevant Gas Turbine engineering experience.
- Export Control Authorization preferred, but not required.
- Flexibility for 10-20% travel, including international.
