CNO Financial Group’s 40|86 Advisors is hiring a Sr. Director, Investment Operations and Data who is responsible for leading, governing, and continuously improving the firm’s end-to-end investment operating model across public and private asset classes. This role owns both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of investment operations, ensuring that all portfolio activity is processed accurately, timely, and with fully supportable data and documentation. This role is accountable for trade processing, data governance, third-party manager integration, mortgage servicing, and operational control frameworks, ensuring that all activities meet internal performance standards, accounting requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Core responsibilities and deliverables:
Oversee the full trade lifecycle (capture through settlement and reconciliation) across AIM, CAMRA and WSO and related platforms.
Monitor data feeds, resolve breaks, and manage discrepancies to ensure accurate processing.
Provide end-to-end strategic leadership across the investment lifecycle, ensuring scalability for growth and new strategies.
Own data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment.
Identify, escalate, and resolve data gaps while maintaining audit and accounting compliance.
Oversee core investment systems (CAMRA, AIM, Precision LM, FundHub and WSO) and ensure seamless integration.
Maintain data integrity, governance standards, and system reliability.
Oversee transaction processing, funding authorizations, and control compliance across custodians and platforms.
Oversee collateral management and asset transfers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Provide necessary investment documentation to assist CNO Accounting in obtaining NAIC ratings to ensure regulatory compliance
Own the control framework, documentation, and audit readiness, ensuring full SOX compliance with no material weaknesses.
Lead cross-functional issue resolution and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
What you need (Minimum requirements):
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 12 years related experience.
Securities operations expertise across all bonds and asset classes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive results.

This role is affiliated to the Carmel, IN corporate office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office. You may be asked to travel to other corporate offices periodically. Please be aware that work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is also eligible for CNO’s performance-based annual bonus program.
Compensation
