## The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
## This role in summary
As a Senior Thermoplastics Engineer, you will be the technical lead and focal point for our plastic transformation processes, encompassing both injection molding and thermoforming. Your role will be highly strategic and forward-looking, challenging the status quo through the active pursuit of emerging market technologies.
## Your responsibilities will include
You will be responsible for translating innovation into tangible results, leading initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs, optimize the efficiency of current production processes, and drive the development and feasibility of new products.
- Design and develop molds and machinery specifically tailored for injection molding and thermoforming processes.
- Lead the implementation of industrial projects and deploy new manufacturing technologies into production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and action plans focused on enhancing overall operational efficiency and reducing waste.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, aligning with key interfaces such as Planning (PCPM), Controlling, Procurement, and Engineering.
- Manage external suppliers and toolmakers to guarantee flawless execution, quality, and timely delivery of assets.
- Perform manufacturing feasibility analysis (DFM, DFA, DFX) and interpret numerical simulations to validate product and tooling design.
- Develop technical specifications while rigorously evaluating cost impacts, capital expenditure (CapEx), and project timelines.
- Oversee end-to-end project management, bridging the gap between product ideation and shop floor reality.
## Minimum requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Material, Chemistry, Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering).
- Experience: Proven experience in injection molding and thermoforming processes (specifically focusing on Molds/Tooling, Process, and Machinery).
- Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of 6Sigma, FMEA, Simulation and Artificial Intelligence
- Languages: Fluent English.
- Desirable: Technical degree/certification in a related field is a plus.
