Description
As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading our team during scheduled shifts. You will be responsible for supporting daily operations, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met, maintaining a positive guest experience, and providing leadership and guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support team members during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Assist with training, coaching, and providing feedback to team members to maintain high performance and morale
- Ensure adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor food quality, order accuracy, and speed of service to maintain an exceptional guest experience
- Handle shift-level staffing assignments, including breaks, station coverage, and task delegation
- Address and resolve customer concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally
- Carry out opening and closing procedures as scheduled
- Communicate shift updates, successes, and challenges to senior management
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience required; leadership experience preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle shift-level problem solving
- Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Utah Food Handlers Card is required. ServSafe certification preferred but not required
