Reports to: Sr. Manager, Worn Wear  

Scope: People Manager, M2  

Years of Experience: 2+ years  

Location: Reno, NV  

  

Compensation  

Hiring rate: $30.90-$37.90 

At Patagonia, pay ranges are set using the best available market data for the job at the required location.   

  

General Summary  

Worn Wear is Patagonia’s hub for keeping gear in use, and Worn Wear does this through repair, reuse, resale, and recycling of preowned Patagonia products.  The Worn Wear Operations Sr. Supervisor will primarily oversee the daily activities and workflow for resale and recycling parts of the Worn Wear program.

What You’ll Do  

  • Lead a team of Worn Wear associates by participating in recruiting, training, monitoring, and evaluation processes  

  • Partner with the Worn Wear Operations Manager to support Worn Wear Operation processes, mission and company policies.  

  • Oversee operations processes and create new strategies and methods to improve productivity and efficiency. Unique needs of Worn Wear include:  

  • Checking each garment for quality and functionality  

  • Crediting customers for Digital Trade Ins and Worn Wear Returns  

  • Worn Wear Value Added Services including; launder, photography, retail fulfilment and minor repairs  

  • Picking, packing & shipping Worn Wear orders in adherence with SLA’s  

  • Report Worn Wear metrics to the Worn Wear Operations Manager.  

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership to support the mission and core values of Worn Wear and Patagonia.  

  • Guide, inspire, direct, and discipline employees consistent with company guidelines.  

  • Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance.  

  

 Work in other areas as necessary  

  • Work in Shipping, Repairs, Receiving, Worn Wear, Returns, Quality Control, and Inventory Control departments when necessary.  

  • When working in other departments, you are expected to maintain at least the minimum productivity standards as applicable.

Experience You Bring  

  • Familiar with or exposure to Patagonia’s Worn Wear mission  

  • Experience with leading change management preferred  

  • 2+ years of leadership experience required 

  • Warehouse experience required  

  • Experience working within a team-oriented environment  

  • Experience partnering and collaborating with all levels of a department  

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  

  • Strong attention to detail experience  

  • Experience influencing and creating an inclusive, team-oriented environment  

  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities  

  • Experience starting, developing and managing projects  

  • Experience with data analytics tools and reporting metrics  

  • Change management experience preferred  

  • Experience leading a team through change  

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively interact with company customers and employees.  

  

Physical Requirements  

  • Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time. 

  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks daily. 

  • Ability to physically distinguish differences of color. 

  • Ability to consistently climb stairs and walk for extended periods of time. 

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. 

  • Ability to safely team lift 70 lbs. 

  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs., at times above shoulder height.   

  • Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible and busy work environment.  

  Workplace Location Overview   

  • This position is On-Site, requiring employees to work at our Reno and/or Verdi, NV facilities during assigned business hours.
